Adam has spent the past 8 years as a Registered Massage Therapist with the Waterloo Sports Medicine Centre. During this timeframe he also worked as a Teacher and Outreach Coordinator at Trios College. He enjoyed teaching Kinesiology, Pathophysiology, as well as Clinical Assessments.
Prior to becoming a Registered Massage Therapist Adam attended Iona University in New York as well as the University of South Florida pursuing a Masters Degree in Education. Adam received a full scholarship to compete in the NCAA in both Track & Field and Cross Country. A highlight of his running career in college was helping his team earn a 3rd place finish at the NCAA Division 1 Cross Country Championships. Adam also earned Deans List Honours Academically.
Adam continues to pursue his long distance running ambitions having earned a sponsorship from Saucony and then Skechers Performance. A highlight of Adam’s post collegiate accomplishments include having earned the silver medal at the Olympic Trials/Canadian Track & Field Championships at the 10000m distance and representing Canada at the World Cross Country Championships as well as the Ekiden Relays in Japan.
As an RMT, Adam utilizes techniques including myofascial trigger point release, facilitated stretching, and Swedish massage. He also obtained additional certification in Cupping Therapy, Cervical Joint Mobilizations as well as Indian Head Massage. As a Certified Running Coach, Adam also enjoys creating individualized training plans for runners of varying ages and abilities to help them achieve their personal running goals ranging from learn to run to competing at World Major Marathons.
